The Estate of Fahrelnissa Zeid aims to preserve, protect and promote the work and artistic legacy of the great Fahrelnissa Zeid - an icon of the 20th Century.
Zeid is regarded by many as one of the most important modernist artists of her generation and is considered the highest valued female artist from the Middle East. Her works are held by major private collections and prominent museums internationally and often sell for record prices at renowned auction houses.
Our mission is to safeguard the legacy of this uniquely pioneering and highly prolific artist for generations to come.

authenticating + certifying
In ensuring the integrity of Zeid’s work, we take a firm stance against forgeries and imitations that surface in the market. As the artist’s estate, we are the sole authenticators of Fahrelnissa Zeid’s work and are able to provide certificates of authenticity based on the provenance of the work and our professional appraisal.
We also oversee copyright authorization for the reproduction of artworks and the image of the artist.
archiving + conserving
We endeavour to locate, archive, restore and catalogue Zeid’s immense body of work - be it from the artist’s estate or from private collections and museums around the world. Her multimedia oeuvre of oils, gouaches, sketches, inks, lithographs and mixed media creations, of a wide variety of styles and genres, spans eight decades and traverses several continents. A comprehensive database of all of Fahrelnissa’s work, for future generations to explore, is the ultimate aim. We also seek to professionally restore works that belong to the artist’s estate.
In addition, we house an enormous collection of archival documents, books, exhibition brochures, published reviews, photographs, letters and correspondence that trace her long and interesting life, career and her exponential artistic development. A database of all these materials is a monumental task and we hope to complete it in the near future.
